Solidarische Landwirtschaft & Jugendhilfe im Aufbau

Wir sind Helen (31) und Lutz (32) und haben vor etwa zwei Jahren einen Hof im wunderschönen Kainsbachtal in Nordbayern, rund 30 km östlich von Nürnberg übernommen und die Flächen mit der Kulturlandgenossenschaft in Gemeinschaftseigentum überführt. Der Hof stand viele Jahre leer und nun sind wir Schritt für Schritt dabei diesen Ort wiederzubeleben, eine solidarische Landwirtschaft aufzubauen und dies in der Zukunft mit Jugendhilfe zu verbinden.
Zum Hof gehören 14 Hektar Wald mit eigenen Quellen sowie 13 Hektar Acker- und Grünland mit alten und jungen Obstbäumen. Ein paar Hühner zur Selbstversorgung leben am Hof. Ab diesem Frühjahr werden die ersten Schafe zu uns kommen.
Wir sind am absoluten Aufbau unseres Betriebes und deshalb ist vieles improvisiert und gelegentlich auch ein bisschen chaotisch. Ist eine Baustelle abgeschlossen, wird die nächste angefangen. Wir sind voller Tatendrang und am Wongerhof ist es meistens sehr wuselig. Meistens sind viele liebe Menschen am Hof.
Es gibt viele unterschiedliche Aufgaben auf dem Hof: Die Hühner versorgen und nach den Schafen schauen gehört zur täglichen Routine, außerdem haben wir einen kleinen Garten, der gepflegt werden will. Im Laufe des Jahres fallen verschiedene Arbeiten in der Landwirtschaft an, wie Obstbäume schneiden und ernten, Waldarbeit, Landschaftspflege, Zäune bauen usw. Da wir ein sehr großes Haus renovieren, verbringen wir auch viel Zeit mit Bauarbeiten im und ums Haus.
Für euch gibt es ein charmantes und rustikales Haus zum Wohnen. Darin gibt es mehrere Zimmer für unsere Gäste. Wir selbst leben schon seit vielen Jahren in einem Tiny House und nutzen zusätzlich ein Zimmer im Haus.
Im Garten nutzen wir gemütliche Kompostklos und außerdem haben wir unser Badezimmer im Sommer nach draußen "verlegt". Mit Privatsphäre natürlich!
Wir alle benutzen dieselbe Küche, die jederzeit mit allem ausgestattet ist. Wir produzieren gerne Lebensmittel und lieben gutes Bio-Essen. Dir wird es bestimmt an nichts fehlen!
Wir frühstücken gemeinsam und essen auch Mittags zusammen. Abends macht sich Jede/r selbst was. Oft sitzen wir zusammen :) Beim Kochen wechseln wir uns ab – für alle, die Lust dazu haben.
Der Hof liegt im kleinen Dorf Kainsbach. Rund um Kainsbach findet man eine wunderschöne Hügellandschaft mit Felsen und Tälern – herrliche Buchenwälder, kleine klare Bäche und beeindruckende Kulturlandschaften! Perfekt zum Wandern, Klettern und Radfahren. In der Nähe liegt das Pegnitztal, wo du auch Kanu fahren kannst. Für heiße Sommertage gibt es einen See, den man in etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreicht – den Happurger Stausee – ideal zum Schwimmen! Hersbruck ist eine schöne Kleinstadt, etwa 10 km von Kainsbach entfernt. Dort gibt es einen Bahnhof, von dem aus man größere Städte wie Nürnberg (15 Minuten), Regensburg oder Bayreuth erreichen kann.

We are Helen (31), Lutz (32) and took over a farm in the beautiful valley of Kainsbach in Northbavaria 30km east of Nürnberg and moved here about two years ago. The farm buildings stood empty for many years and we are here to create an organic farm and this means a lot of work, where we can need your help!
14ha forest with own springs and 13ha field and grassland with old fruit trees belong to the farm. Daily life around the farm is very busy at the moment. Since we started farming this year next to the renovation of our house.
So everything is quite new, sometimes improvised and exciting and a little bit chaotic :) The farm also looks like a big concrete, once in a while. There are always some construcion projects going on.
Our farm is a very open and welcoming place. We love to have people around and most of the time its very busy. Our very freindly dog Moro lives with us. We have some Chicken for self supply.
It will be our first season, being responsible for the land and for our sheeps. So there is lots of different tasks around the farm. Taking care of the chicken and looking after the sheeps is a daily routine, we also have a small garden around the farm that needs the be taken care of. Around the year, there are different things to do: cutting fruit trees, harvesting trees, forest work, landscape maintenance etc. Since we are renovating a really big house to renovate, we also spend a lot of time, doing construction work inside and around the house.
There is a charming, rustic and a little bit shabby ;) old house where you will stay. There are several rooms inside for people who are visiting us. We live in our tiny house for many years already and use one room inside the house additionally.
We all use the same kitchen, that is supplied with everything you need at any time. We love good organic food. We are sure you will be happy!
We have lunch together and usually also breakfast and dinner.. We rotate with cooking for the ones who like to.
The farm is located in the little village Kainsbach. Around Kainsbach you find yourself immersed in beautful hills with rocks and valleys - beautiful beech forests, small clear streams and amazing traditional cultural landscapes! Perfect for hiking, climbing and riding a bike. Closeby is the Pegnitz Valley, where you can also go canoying. For hot summer days we can offer a lake you can reach in 15 Minutes walk and go for a swim (Happurger Stausee)! Hersbruck is a beautiful small town 10km away from Kainsbach. There you can find a train station from where you reach the bigger citys Nürnberg (15 min), Regensburg or Bayreuth.
