liebe Grüße aus der Ostheide, einem menschenleeren Landstrich in der Nähe zwischen Lüneburg, der Elbe und dem Wendland. Auf einem Grundstück von 2,3 h steht ein altes Haus, eine Werkstatt und ein kleines Gästehaus. Hier wohnen Stephanie, 57 Jahre alt, Eva, 26 Jahre alt mit Hannah dem Hund und der Katze Schnurka, sowie viele Wald- Wiesentiere. Ich bin Gestalterin, Imkerin und seid 5 Jahren in der Permakultur mit abgeschlossener Fortbildung. Eva ist Instrumentenbauerin, sie baut Gitarren und Madolinen. Auf dem Grundstück entsteht ein großer Waldlichtungsgarten mit vielen Gehölzen und Nischen für Tiere. Unsere Motivation ist die Renaturierung des Grundstückes, das als ehemaliger Acker all seine Lebendigkeit verloren hatte. Es geht um ökologische Vielfalt, einen Ertrag für die hier lebenden Menschen und um die Weiterentwicklung eines Kunstprojektes, das 2027 hier auf dem Grundstück stattfinden soll. Der Arbeitstitel für das alles ist ,Biotop mit Mensch‘ in Mücklingen 19.
Für das Grundstück gibt es ein Keyline-Design, das in die Wirklichkeit kommen will, der erste Gehölzstreifen entlang der Höhenlinie haben wir 2024 bepflanzt mit 250 Bäumen und Sträuchern. Diese werden gepflegt und die weiteren Strukturen und besondere Orte weiterentwickelt. Es gibt eine große Blüh-Wiese mit verschiedenen Wild- und Kulturpflanzen, die seit 2022 existiert und von uns gepflegt wird. Es gibt jeden Tag rund um dieses Vorhaben andere und vielfältige Aufgaben. Obwohl ich zwei intensive Fortbildungen in Permakultur gemacht habe, ist die Umsetzung hier auch für mich jeden Tag ein Weiterlernen, recherieren, in die Tiefe gehen. Ich freue mich über Menschen, die das Kreislaufdenken in den Alltag umsetzen wollen und die Strukturen vor Ort, die schon da sind, pflegen mögen, und auch verfeinern, z.B. den Kompost, die Gehölzpflege, das Imkern mit den Bienenvölkern. Gerne würde ich mit dir den Masterplan für das Grundstück auch noch weiterentwickeln, es gibt eine private Sammlung von Büchern rund um die Permakultur, die du nutzen kannst. Da ich hauptberuflich Gestalterin bin habe ich in der Ausarbeitung von Entwürfen & Plänen einiges an Erfahrungen gesammelt bei verschiedenen Permakultur-Projekten, die ich gerne weitergebe. Auch das anstehende Kunstprojekt zum Thema ,Biotop mit Mensch' für 2027 kann ein Thema sein.
Wir würden jeden Tag austauschen, welche Arbeiten am Tag anstehen. Wir können dann gemeinsam überlegen, zu welcher Zeit am Tage (auch je nach Jahreszeit) diese angegangen werden. Du wohnst in dem kleinen Gästehaus aus Holz direkt am Waldrand mit einem 160cm Bett, eigener Küche, Bad, warmer Dusche und Komposttoilette. Grundnahrungsmittel & Gemüse kann ich mitversorgen. Gerne starten wir vor der gemeinsamen Arbeitszeit mit einem Essen. Es gibt Strom und glasfaserschnelles Internet. Unser Gemüse kommt aus der Solawi und ich kaufe einmal wöchentlich im Bioladen/Hofladen ein. Das Grundstück liegt direkt am Naturpark Wendland Elbe und das Biosphärenreservat Niedersächsische Elbtalaue ist um die Ecke.
Das gemütlich eingerichtete Gästehaus von 18qm steht erhöht auf einem Fahrgestell auf einer Lichtung direkt am Waldrand, hier bist du ganz für dich allein, aber in Rufweite zum Haupthaus! Wenn ihr zu zweit kommt, solltet ihr euch gerne mögen, das Bett ist 160 breit! Du guckst auf eine Wiese, die sich nach und nach zu einem Biotop entwickelt. Es gibt nur ein Nachbargrundstück, und da müsste man schon sehr laut rufen, um gehört zu werden. Faulenzen im Bett mit Blick durch das runde Fenster, Radeln oder Kanu fahren, Wandern im Wald direkt nebenan, Sternenspaziergänge in der Elbtalaue am Deich oder in der Heide, Schwimmen in den kleinen sandigen Buchten an der Elbe, beim Imkern zugucken oder Pilze sammeln. Es gibt viel Kultur - das Wendland ist um die Ecke, und auch die Dörfer in der direkten Umgebung mausern sich, Cafés, ein Weingut, ein Kunstverein, ein Kulturhof mit Konzertangebot, ein paar nette Restaurants, Biobauernhöfe und Hofläden. Bis Lüneburg sind es 25 min und bis HH bei freier Fahrt eine Stunde. Wer mit dem Zug anreist fährt vor Ort am besten mit dem Rad + Bus. Der Wald rauscht kräftig bei Wind und auch die in der Nähe stehenden Windräder sind zu hören! Es gibt konventionelle Landwirtschaft! Säen, ernten, Trecker im Frühjahr und Herbst. Aber oft ist auch: Stille.

Servants' quarters with 2.3 hectares of land & forest
Hello Woof, greetings from the East Heath, a sparsely populated area near Lüneburg, the Elbe River, and the Wendland region. On a 2.3-hectare property, there's an old house, a workshop, and a small guesthouse. Here live Stephanie, 57 years old, Eva, 26 years old, with Hannah the dog and Schnurka the cat, as well as many forest and meadow animals. I'm a designer, beekeeper, and have been involved in permaculture for five years, having completed advanced training. Eva is a musical instrument maker; she builds guitars and mandolins. She works in her own workshop on the neighboring property. Our village has only 37 inhabitants. Since 2021, a large forest clearing garden with many shrubs and niches for animals has been developing on the property. Our motivation is the renaturation of the property, which, as a former field, had lost all of its vitality. It’s about ecological diversity, providing a yield for the people living here, and the further development of an art project that is planned to take place on the property in 2027. The working title for all of this is “Biotope with Humans” in Mücklingen 19.
There is a keyline design for the property that is gradually being brought to life. In 2024 we planted the first tree belt along the contour line, with 250 trees and shrubs. These are being tended, and we continue developing additional structures and special niches. There is a large flowering meadow with various wild and cultivated plants that has existed since 2022 and is maintained by us; we collect seeds and propagate wild perennials. Fruit trees and special crops complement our food; we mostly cook with vegetables from the Solawi, and we have meat when it comes from the surrounding farms. Every day brings new and diverse tasks connected to these projects. Although I’ve completed two intensive courses in permaculture, implementing everything here is still a daily process of learning, researching, and going deeper. We welcome people who want to bring circular thinking into everyday life, who enjoy maintaining and refining the structures already in place—for example, composting, tree care, beekeeping with the colonies, seed stewardship, and tending and expanding the wild perennials.
I would also like to further develop the master plan for the property; there is a private library of books on permaculture that you are welcome to use. Since my main profession is design, I have gained a lot of experience creating plans and layouts for various permaculture projects, which I’m happy to share. The upcoming art project “Biotope with Humans” planned for 2027 can also be a topic. We would exchange information daily about the tasks that need to be done that day. We can then decide together what time of day (also depending on the season) to tackle them. You'll be staying in the small wooden guesthouse right on the edge of the forest, with a 160cm bed, a private kitchen, bathroom, hot shower, and composting toilet. I can provide basic groceries and vegetables. We'd be happy to start the day with a meal before we begin working together. There's electricity and high-speed fiber optic internet. Our vegetables come from a SOLAWI, and I shop at the organic/farm shop once a week. The property is located directly adjacent to the Wendland Elbe Nature Park, and the Lower Saxon Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve is just around the corner.The cozy, 18 m² guesthouse sits elevated on a trailer chassis in a clearing right at the forest’s edge. If you don't want to come alone, you should know the other woofer well enough to share a bed of 160cm. Here you have complete privacy, but you’re still within calling distance of the main house. You look out onto a meadow that is gradually developing into a biotope. There is only one neighboring property, and you’d have to shout quite loudly to be heard there. You can lounge in bed looking out through the round window, go biking or canoeing, hike in the forest next door, take starlit walks along the dike in the Elbe floodplain or in the heath, swim in the small sandy coves along the Elbe, help with the beekeeping, or go mushroom hunting.
There is plenty of culture—the Wendland region is close by, and the villages in the immediate area are also thriving, with cafés, a winery, an arts association, a cultural center with concerts, a few nice restaurants, organic farms, and farm shops. Lüneburg is 25 minutes away, and Hamburg is about an hour away with free-flowing traffic. If you arrive by train, it’s best to get around locally by bike and bus. The forest roars loudly in the wind, and the wind turbines nearby can also be heard! There is a lot of conventional agriculture here—sowing, harvesting, tractors in spring and autumn. But often there is simply: nothing.
