Hi! My name is Ron and I live with two cats on a small farm in former East Germany. The goal is to be as food self-sufficient as possible. I have 13 years garden experience. The next 2 years I will be preparing the land with terraced Rock walls in a traditional method, so there is both building and gardening going on. Sometimes I also keep chickens and running ducks. I have no set belief/religious system and am open to everyone. I take care of all the plants and flowers as needed. Weeding is one of my favourite activities. I try to work on the current project of terracing my land with traditional methods (stone walls) a few hours a day. Depending on the season activities can include: sowing seeds, weeding, harvesting, watering, processing food (drying, canning, fermenting etc.), and much more! I try to eat as much as possible from my home grown food. I eat meals pretty much regularly at 8, 13 and 18. I enjoy cooking together and learning from one another. I live in a very old house with a few extra bedrooms. Some are heated, some are only available in the summer months. I have many, many hobbies. At home I enjoy music (both listening and making), gardening, building things and even knitting. Within a few kilometres we have a few lakes to swim in. Not far is also the city of Stettin, Poland with many tourist attractions. The Oberuckersee is 30 km away. guten Tag!

Ron is a very nice host and has created a beautiful, self-sustainable farm that was enjoyable to work within. Him, along with his cats, fostered a welcoming sense of hospitality that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a quaint and friendly WWOOFing experience. In time I will plan to return!

Ron is a nice host. His cats are very cute and friendly too! We had a nice stay at his place. The village is in the middle of large industrial agricultural fields, while Ron's place is an absolute alternative, bringing back nature and joy. We learnt how to make applesauce, traditional stone building and shared fresh food from the garden. Thanks for a great time :)
