1. Describe your project, your place, and its inhabitants (including animals): Small farm with a winery and some vegetable gardens a 5 minute walk away of the picturesque village of Rosswag 2. List the activities that WWOOFers will participate in and what you want to teach them: Vineyard work through the year (pruning, canopy management, picking), throughout September grape harvest participating at the vinification process and bottling 3. How will you feed and house WWOOFers? Please describe your accommodations and plan for meals: We cook everyday warm food, there is always food in the kitchen and outside on the vegetable gardens, we grow the majority of the food we eat There will be accomodation provided, at the farm in a separate house 4. What could a WWOOFer's day look like at your site (time slot for participation in activities, expectations...)? Depending on the weather half vineyard work and half cellar work or vegetable garden work 5. Play the guide! Talk about your own hobbies (music, cooking, etc.) and those possible around (hiking, swimming, etc.): we like to cook and process our home grown food, we have a river down in the village, we would go swimming, SUP or fishing. Stuttgart is only 20 minutes by train for some more cultural activities. The area is very hike- and bike-friendly

We had an amazing time with Olympia and Hannes. As natural wine lovers, it was really insightful to see how their wine is made in the cellar and on the slopes around Rosswag. (It also tastes excellent by the way). Hannes and Olympia were good at giving instructions, outsourcing responsibility and at the same time being very mindful of our wellbeing. We were given meaningful tasks. For instance, we helped bottling a new vintage of their rosé. We also worked in several of their wine fields and got to see different varieties of grapes and different kinds of field work up close. Olympia and Hannes are excellent hosts (and very fine cooks). They had the same mindfulness around our wellbeing regarding leassure time as when at work. The accomodations are great, and the area around Roterfaden is very picturesque and full of kind people.

I was lucky to have my first wwoof-experience at Olympia and Hannes farm. I felt very welcome; there was a good variation in both work tasks and time spent privately and with the family. Nothing to put a finger on regarding accommodation, food, and opportunities to learn about biodynamic principles and wine. A warm and great thank you to Olympia and Hannes - I would gladly come back!

We had such an incredible few days with Olympia and Hannas. We learned so much about organic wine and how much time and effort goes into making their product (which is some of the best wine we’ve ever tasted!) Olympia and Hannas were so welcoming and kind, and great cooks! We were very grateful for our stay and we would love to return some day to help them with harvest, and to continue learning about organic wine. We would highly recommend!

My experience at Weingut Roterfaden was truly unforgettable. The family’s warmth and kindness made me feel like part of their own from day one, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere throughout my stay. Their genuine passion for sustainable and authentic wine production is evident in every step of their work, which made learning and contributing there incredibly rewarding. The meals they prepared were healthy and delicious, with fresh ingredients straight from their garden, which added a wonderful touch of home-cooked authenticity. Surrounded by the stunning beauty of the vineyards and the peaceful valley views, every day felt refreshing and inspiring. I am deeply grateful for the experience and hope to return next year.
