Die Bienen sind jetzt schon wieder aktiv und fliegen bei schönem Wetter, um Nektar und Pollen für die Brut zu sammeln, damit die Bienenvölker wieder wachsen und ab Anfang Mai schwärmen können.
Wir bereiten uns für die anstehenden Aufgaben der Saison vor.
Es stehen einige Dinge an, die zu erledigen sind.
Im April werden die Bienenbehausungen aufgearbeitet und der Garten braucht Pflege und Zuwendung damit wieder alles wächst und gedeiht.
Ab Ende April und im Mai steht dann die SCHWARMZEIT an.
Das ist eine der spannendsten Zeiten im Bienenjahr. Wir werden Bienenschwärme fangen und ihnen ein neues Zuhause geben. Die Honigräume werden zur Obstblüte aufgesetzt und wenn der Raps blüht, wird der Nektar in Strömen fließen.
Die Vorbereitungen für das SCHWARMFEST Ende Mai haben auch schon begonnen.
Es soll eine neue Außenküche entstehen, ein Holzschuppen und ein Bienenwagen als Unterkunft für unsere WWOOFer*ìnnen ausgebaut werden.
Die Lammzeit ist immer ein sehr spannendes und berührendes Erlebnis. Unsere kleine Schafherde hat Nachwuchs bekommen und 17 süße Lämmchen hüpfen jetzt mit ihren Müttern auf der Wiese herum.
Ab Anfang Juni kann dann schon die erste Honigernte erfolgen. Das wird ein süßes, aber auch arbeitsreiches Vergnügen werden...

Las abejas ya estan activas de nuevo y vuelan con buen tiempo para recoger néctar y polen para la cría, de modo que las colonias de abejas puedan crecer y van a emitir enjambres al comienzo de Mayo.
Nos estamos preparando para las tareas de la próxima temporada.
Hay algunas cosas que hay que hacer.
En abril, se renuevan las colmenas y el jardín necesita cuidados y atención para que todo vuelva a crecer y florecer.
A partir de finales de abril y en mayo, llega la ÉPOCA DE LOS ENJAMBRES.
Es una de las épocas más emocionantes del año apícola. Vamos a cazar los enjambres de abejas y les daremos un nuevo hogar. Los marcos de miel se preparan para la floración de los frutos y, cuando florezca la colza, el néctar fluirá a raudales.
También han comenzado ya los preparativos para el SCHWARMFEST (la FIESTA DE LOS ENJAMBRES) a finales de mayo.
Se construirá una nueva cocina al aire libre, un cobertizo de madera y un vagón apícola se convertirán en alojamiento para nuestros WWOOFers.
La época de los corderos es siempre una experiencia muy emocionante y conmovedora. Nuestro pequeño rebaño ha tenido crías y ahora hay 17 adorables corderitos saltando por el prado junto a sus madres.
La primera cosecha de miel puede tener lugar a principios de junio. Será un placer dulce, pero también laborioso...

The bees are active again and are flying in good weather to collect nectar and pollen for the brood so that the bee colonies can grow and swarm at the beginning of May.
We are preparing for the upcoming tasks of the season.
In April, the beehives are refurbished and the garden needs care and attention so that everything grows and flourishes again.
From the end of April and in May, the SWARMING TIME is upon us.
This is one of the most exciting times of the bee year. We will catch swarms of bees and give them a new home. The honey chambers are set up for the fruit blossom and when the rape blossoms, the nectar will flow in streams.
Preparations for the SCHWARMFEST at the end of May have also already begun.
A new outdoor kitchen is to be built, a wooden shed and a bee wagon will be converted into accommodation for our WWOOFers.
Lambing season is always a very exciting and heartwarming experience. Our small flock of sheep has had new arrivals, and 17 adorable little lambs are now hopping around in the meadow.
The first honey harvest can then take place from the beginning of June. This will be a sweet, but also labour-intensive pleasure...

HOFBESCHREIBUNG:
Der Hof befindet sich 40 km südöstlich von Rostock in einem kleinen etwas abgeschiedenen Dorf im Landkreis Rostock zwischen zwei Kleinstädten, die 8 bzw. 15 km entfernt von uns liegen.
Wir sind Tine (Grundschullehrerin, Puppenspielerin, Theaterpädagogin) und Helmut (Tischler, Architekt, wesensgemäßer Imker, Bienenpädagoge), beide Jahrgang `64.
Die Bienen haben uns aus Berlin in diese schöne Gegend gebracht. Wir imkern extensiv und „wesensgemäß“ nach den „Mellifera-Richtlinien“ und vermehren unsere Völker mit dem Schwarmtrieb und lassen Naturwabenbau zu.
Neben den Bienen haben wir noch eine kleine Schafherde, die uns hilft, unser fast ein Hektar großes Grundstück zu pflegen. Außerdem haben wir eine süße Katze...
Das Gelände soll nach und nach behutsam zu einem bienen- und insektenreichen, biodiversen Garten umgestaltet werden.
Unser Permakultur-Garten entsteht langsam und ist noch ein Experimentierfeld. Er soll auf dem Weg zur Selbstversorgung noch weiter wachsen.
Das Projekt ist noch im Aufbau, daher gibt es einiges an baulichen Aufgaben an den Gebäuden und Nebengebäuden und im Garten zu bewältigen.
Für die Bienen ist zu tun: z.B. Schwarmfang im Mai und Juni, Honigschleudern und -abfüllen, Gläser labeln im Juni, Juli, August. Danach beginnt die Einwinterung der Bienen und die Winterarbeiten, wie Wachsverarbeitung, Beutenbau und -restaurierung und Vorbereitungen für die nächste Saison.
Das alljährliche „Schwarmfest“ findet Ende Mai-Anfang Juni statt. Ab Anfang Mai ist die Schwarmzeit in vollem Gange. Wir freuen uns auf Unterstützung beim Schwarmfang und einlogieren der Schwärme. Ein Erlebnis, das man nicht so schnell vergißt, wenn man es einmal miterlebt hat!
Unser Wissen über die Bedeutung der Honigbiene sowie ihrer wilden Verwandten für die biologische Vielfalt, deren Schutz und Pflege möchten wir an unsere WWOOFer*innen weitergeben.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA GRANJA:
La granja se encuentra a 40 km al sureste de Rostock, en un pequeño pueblo algo aislado en el distrito de Rostock, entre dos pequeñas ciudades ubicadas a 8 y 15 km de nosotros.
Somos Tine (profesora de primaria, titiritera, pedagoga teatral) y Helm (carpintero, arquitecto, apicultor ecologico , educador de apicultura), ambos nacidos en el 64.
Las abejas nos trajeron de Berlín a esta hermosa región hace ya unos años. Somos apicultores extensivos según las "directrices de Mellifera" y propagamos nuestras colonias principalmente por enjambrazón.
Además de las abejas, tenemos un pequeño rebaño de ovejas que nos ayuda a mantener nuestra parcela de casi una hectárea. También tenemos dos lindos gatos...
El lugar se transformará gradual y cuidadosamente en un jardín biodiverso rico en abejas e insectos.
Nuestro jardín de permacultura está emergiendo lentamente y es todavía un campo experimental. Su objetivo es seguir creciendo en el camino hacia la autosuficiencia.
El proyecto aún está en construcción, por lo que hay que realizar algunas tareas estructurales en los edificios y dependencias y en el jardín.
Para las abejas, hay trabajos diversos que hacer.
Uno de los "puntos culminantes" en el calendario anual es nuestra "fiesta del enjambre" a mediados de mayo, que celebramos con muchos invitados.
Nos gustaría pasar nuestros conocimientos sobre la importancia de las abejas melíferas y sus parientes silvestres para la biodiversidad, su protección y cuidado a nuestros WWOOFers y huéspedes.

DESCRIPTION OF THE FARM:
The farm is located 40 km south-east of Rostock in a small somewhat secluded village in the Rostock district between two small towns 8 and 15 km away from us.
We are Tine (primary school teacher, puppeteer, theatre pedagogue) and Helm (carpenter, architect, beekeeper by nature, bee educator), both born in '64.
The bees brought us from Berlin to this beautiful region some years ago. We are extensive beekeepers according to the "Mellifera guidelines" and propagate our colonies mainly by swarming.
In addition to the bees, we have a small flock of sheep that helps us maintain our almost one-hectare plot of land. We also have a sweet cat...
The site is to be gradually and carefully transformed into a biodiverse garden rich in bees and insects.
Our permaculture garden is slowly emerging and is still an experimental field. It is meant to grow further on the way to self-sufficiency.
The project is still under construction, so there are some structural tasks to be done on the buildings and outbuildings and in the garden.
For the bees, there is a lot of work to be done. A "highlight" is our "swarm festival" in mid-May, which we celebrate annually with many guests.
We would like to pass on our knowledge about the importance of honey bees and their wild relatives for biodiversity, their protection and care to our WWOOFers and guests.
