LAGE: Oberlichtenau, das Land am Dresdner Rand, wird als Wwooferziel immer beliebter. Die reizvolle Landschaft, das liebliche Pulsnitztal, der Keulenberg mit seinem interessanten Gipfel, lauschige Mischwälder, hügelige Weideflächen, verträumte Wege und Teiche, der Schlosspark, das Dorfkirchlein. Unser gepflegtes Waldhufendorf heißt Euch herzlich Willkommen.  ;-D    .    Das umfangreiche Freizeitangebot , welches durch über 20 Aktive Vereine gestaltet wird, ist ein weiterer Grund Oberlichtenau immer wieder zu besuchen. Besuchen Sie in unserem Dorf die Barocke Schloßanlage , das Bienenmuseum, die umfangreichen Wanderwege im Keulenberggebiet, den Liederwanderweg, den Bibelgarten mit der byzantinischen Basilika oder das schmucke Dorfkirchlein.  BESCHREIBUNG: Wir leben Auf einem Dreiseitenhof. Unser Wohnhaus haben wir mit viel Liebe schon selbst saniert. Die anderen Gebäude warten noch darauf, verschönert zu werden. Wir freuen uns über neugierige, offene, vor allem ehrliche, bescheidene und fleißige Menschen, die sich gern auf einen Arbeitsalltag mít uns einlassen. Gern teilen wir unser Wissen und freuen uns über einen Austausch. Es gibt viel zu erlernen bei uns, aber auch wir möchten von euch lernen. Die Haushaltsführung , Pflege und der Umgang mit den Tieren, gärtnerische Fähigkeiten und auch handwerkliche und technische Aufgaben gilt es zu meistern. Im Winter wird das Feuerholz im Wald gemacht und auf den Hof geholt. Natürlich möchten wir auch unsere Kultur vermitteln und bei einem Lagerfeuer den Tag ausklingen lassen. ______________________________________  Organic methods: Der biologische Einsatz von Bekämpfungsmitteln gegen Unkraut und Insekten schützt die Artenvielfalt in der Natur. Lange Transportwege sollten bei Bioware ebenfalls vermieden werden. Und der Verzicht auf Mineraldünger - und DAMIT den Verzicht auf Höchsterträge - schützt Boden und Trinkwasser. Certifications: keine Type of work:   Als aktuelles Projekt können wir gemeinsam an unserer Scheune weiterarbeiten. Es sollen Feldsteine verfugt werden. Erst Kalk-Putz abgeschlagen werden, das geht aber sehr gut. Dann werden die  Fugen noch ein bisschen ausgekratzt und zum Schluss nochmal mit Wasserstrahl gesäubert. Dann Können wir beginnen mit dem Ausfugen der Mauer. Wenn du Lust hast mich dabei zu unterstützen Dann melde dich bei mir und du wirst mehr über dieses Projekt erfahren. I enjoyed my time at this farm! The hosts were clear and communicative with their goals and expectations, which I appreciated, and the expectations that they had were very reasonable. Most of the work that I did during my stay was helping to take care of the animals, gathering/harvesting/processing food, and splitting and stacking wood. It was a nice variety! The room that I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and all of my needs were well met. It was nice getting to know the hosts and their farm, I'll definitely remember my time there fondly ☀️🍀

We absolutely loved our time with Andreas and Sylvia and consider them to be great friends now! The workload was fair starting at 8:00-13:00 6 days a week with all three meals provided. We did a range of chores from working with the animals, harvesting fruit from their trees, processing the fruit, and chopping wood. The accommodations were some of the best we had while on our WWOOF tour this summer. They were also so kind to tell us the fun the things to see and do around them. They even took us to a few! Sylvia speaks English but Andrea’s doesn’t so we used a lot of google translate and played charades. We love them, they are great hosts!

It was a good experience for me. Andrea and Sylvia are very sweet people. Ruby is also very cute. I learned a practical recipe and had many observations about farm life. I recommend it :)

It was my first time woofing, and I couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Sylvia and Andreas have created a wonderful place at Sonnenhof Oberlichtenau. I helped out in the morning from 08:00 till 13:00. The workload was very fair and there was plenty of different jobs to be done. At 13:00 we ate lunch. Where I got to try a multitude of different dishes and some very good local foods. Jobs I helped with: Walking with their dog ‘Ruby’ (who is a cute little golden), Splitting logs, Stacking logs, Cleaning hare cages, Cleaning the chicken pen, Cleaning the sheep pen, Feeding the animals, Weeding vegetable garden & Watering plants and flowers. Things I got to see: Feeding bees Butchering of lambs Repositioning of beehives In the afternoon there was plenty to do and see in the neighboring areas of the village. I got to use one of their bicyles, which was great. I went swimming in an old granite quarry. (I can highly recommend this, if weather permits) It really felt like I was part of the household. Sylvia’s mother even took me on a bike tour which was a wonderful way of exploring the area. Thank you very much for this! I feel that for anyone with the right attitude this place has so much to offer, and you can learn a lot from Sylvia and Andreas. I am very happy to have been there for the last three weeks. I got to learn new things and improve my German. Vielen dank fur alles!

I spend 11 days with Sylvia and Andreas and it was great! They were both very patient with my German( I’m trying to learn) and took me to the lake to swim after work multiple time as a week . I spend most days taking care of the animals, collecting berrys and chopping wood. Sylvia and Andreas was always very sweet and asked what tasks I would prefer. The workload is fair, and Sylvia has delicious cake and great lunch ready when your done working :) I would definitely recommend this Wwoof!

Meine Tochter und ich waren zum ersten Mal wwoofen und wurden sehr herzlich von Sylvia und Andreas aufgenommen. Die Arbeiten wurden uns gut erklärt und das Miteinander war sehr angenehm. Insgesamt haben wir viel Neues gelernt, hatten eine tolle Zeit und auch genügend Freizeit. Ich kann den Hof auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank
