LAGE: Der Hof liegt am Rande eines kleinen Nordeifeldorfes nahezu in Alleinlage. Rundherum finden sich zahlreiche Wanderwege durch Wald und Feld, sowie der Rursee, der zum Baden einlädt. BESCHREIBUNG: Unser kleiner Pferdehof beherbergt 5 Pferde, die als Therapiepferde in artgerechter Offenstallhaltung ihr Leben in der Eifellandschaft genießen. Auch die anderen tierischen Bewohner erfreuen sich hier ihrer Freiheit. Die ca. 2 ha Weideland wollen gepflegt und bewirtschaftet werden, wie z.B. in Form von Heuernte und der Pflege von Obstbäumen und Beerensträuchern. Wir freuen uns darauf, Menschen kennenzulernen, die Lust auf neue Erfahrungen haben und gerne Teil unseres Arbeitsteams werden wollen. Wir möchten euch die Eigenarten der Natur und der Jahreszeiten näher bringen, mit euch am Lagerfeuer nett beisammen sitzen und bei gutem Essen den Tag Revue passieren lassen. Zu den Aufgabenbereichen zählen unter anderem die Mithilfe bei der Heu- und Obsternte, das Versorgen der Pferde, die Stall- und Weidepflege, die Unterstützung bei der Reittherapie, die Heckenpflege und Gartenarbeit. ______________________________________ ENGLISH: LOCATION: The farm lies rather solitarily at the edge of a small village in the northern part of the Eifel. The area around features several hiking trails through the forest and over the fields as well as the Rursee where you can go swimming. DESCRIPTION: For our 5 therapeutic horses, we have a stable, but they are also free to roam on our field. The farm comprises approximately 2 hectare of pasture, from which we harvest hay. Beyond that, it also features fruit trees and berry bushes. We want to get to know people that have an apetite for new experiences and that want to be a part of our team. We want to show you the peculiarities of the surrounding nature, bring you closer to the seasons and enjoy the campfire in the evening together with a good meal. The typical tasks are: Helping out with the hay and fruit harvests, caring for the horses, maintaining the stable , helping out during the therapeutic riding sessions and garden work. Die Anreise ist mit PKW und Bus möglich. Von der Bushaltestelle aus bis zum Hof läuft man noch ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß. The farm can be reached by car or bus. The bus stop is approximately at a 20 minutes distance by foot.

Staying at Ruth's and Samina's was an absolute privilege, definitely one of my best WWOOFING experiences. They are a beautiful family, extremely passionate about what they do and more than willing to share it with others. Everything is very well planned and organised; the tasks were very enjoyable, and the fact that they always involved horses in one way or another made me extremely happy. Ruth's food was delicious. I would spend many more hours helping at their place, talking about life, and growing alongside them. It goes without saying that I recommend visiting them! If I get the chance, I will definitely go back. Huge hugs to both of you, the horses, the cats, and Maya. Thank you for helping me heal my wounds.

I spent a lovely week at Ruth's Hexenhof. The hosts were kind and generous. I arrived fighting a fever and Ruth made me chamomile tea for three nights to soothe my inflamed eye. The farm was very organised and clean, I think their horse stables are the cleanest I've ever seen. You can really see and feel the love & care they have for all the animals on the farm. I left feeling inspired and motivated, that with determination, it is possible to live & work with horses in a symbiotic partnership in ways that are in tune with nature without sacrificing your principles. I hope to be back again.

Ich habe einen inspirierenden Einblick in die Arbeit mit den Pferden und in die Reittherapie bekommen und das Leben auf dem Hexenhof. Das Essen war großartig und Samina hat sich immer große Mühe gegeben, dass es einem gut geht! Danke, für die wunderbare Woche bei dir, Samina und bis hoffentlich zum nächsten Mal :)

Ich hatte mein erstes WWOOF Erlebnis am Hexenhof und hatte eine super tolle Woche bei Ruth. Ich fühlte mich im schönen WOOFer Zimmer und bei Ruth's leckerem Essen total gut aufgehoben. Ich habe viel über die Tiere, Pferdetherapie und leben auf dem Hof gelernt und werde definitiv wieder kommen. Danke!!!

I had such a nice week at Ruths Hexenhof! They are really positive and open people, love to travel and have a lot to share, including amazing food and the love for their animals. I stayed in a shared room, I was the only wwoofer at that time. In the morning it was always work in the stables, feeding and mocking. After that we had little projects around the farm that I worked on mostly together with Ruth. They are offering therapeutic riding mostly with children. I could sometimes watch and help with the lessons and get a first idea. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to help them again at their farm! I wish you all the best!
