Hof Lütte Lohe is situated just north of Hamburg, in the valley of the Alster river.
The farm has existed since 1910 and is now run in the fourth generation. 200 cows are currently being milked. All in all, 400 animals are kept, including dry cows and female offspring. 240 hectares of land are used mainly to produce feed for the cattle. Our cows are pasture-fed: in summer they graze in a meadow. We live in a wooden house with solar energy. We have a large garden and enjoy the wide view and the grassland around us. There is always plenty to do on the farm, of course. The surrounding countryside has excellent cycle paths and we have a canoe waiting to be used. There is also a fantastic ice cream parlour, and the centre of Hamburg is only 40 minutes away. The Baltic Sea can be reached easily by car in 1 hour. We enjoy music, cultural events and good company, and are especially happy to welcome Wwoofers who share our interests. From time to time we attend animal shows and auctions, to which you are warmly invited.
