LAGE: Depekolk liegt in der nordwestlichen Altmark, 15 km südöstlich von Salzwedel; Einwohnerzahl ca. 60; sehr ländliches, landwirtschaftlich geprägtes Umfeld, weite leicht wellige Landschaft BESCHREIBUNG: Der Hof beherbergt 2 Erwachsene, Bienen und den Kater Theo. Uns verbindet ein achtsamer Umgang mit Mutter Erde, gelebte Geomantie, Sinn am Gestalten und die Vision, Arbeit und Leben am Ort zu verbinden. Auf unserem Hof wächst ein lebendiger, vielschichtig ausgeprägter Organismus, der Mensch, Tier und Pflanze ein kraftvolles, friedliches Miteinander ermöglicht. Wir binden uns ein in den Lauf des Jahres durch kleine Jahreszeitenfeste. Es existieren zwei Werkstätten - Holzhandwerk u. Textilkunst. Haus und Nebengebäude sind teilweise noch baulich zu vervollkommnen. Aktuell (Juli 2025) wollen wir gemeinsam mikt dir die Dachentwässerung für die Regenwassergewinnung optimieren, im Garten wühlen, eine neue Treppe für's Haus bauen, Brennholz aufbereiten, Kräuter sammeln und im Solartrockner trocknen, … Organic methods: In unserem kleinen Gemüse- und Blumengarten arbeiten wir mit Kompost, Terra Preta und Mulch. Selbstaussaat lassen wir gern zu, Blumen- und Gemüsesaatgut gewinnen wir selbst, so möglich ist. Blühpflanzen werden unter den Blickpunkt "Insektennahrung" ausgewählt Type of work: Je nach deinen Interessen und Jahreszeit: Ernten und Sammeln in Garten, Wald und Wiese, Verarbeitung und Bevorratung von Obst, Gemüse, Tee- und Heilkräutern, Mithelfen in der Holz- und Textilwerkstatt, Gebäude ausbessern, Holz stapeln, Kamine beheizen, Kochen, Backen, Gartenarbeit und Gestaltung des Grundstücks. ______________________________________ ENGLISH: LOCATION: Depekolk is located in the northwestern Altmark, 15 km southeast of Salzwedel, population about 70, very rural, agricultural environment, wide gently undulating landscape DESCRIPTION: The farm accomodates 3 adults. With us live bees and the cat Theo. We are connected by a careful handling of Mother Earth, lived geomancy, open and facing dealing with children, sense in creating and the vision to work and live in one place. On our farm grows a vibrant, multi-layered pronounced organism, wich offers a powerful and peaceful coexistence for humans, animals and plants. We integrate ourselves into the course of the year by small seasonal festivals. In the courtyard thre are two workshops – wood crafts and textile arts. House and outbuildings are still partially structurally to perfect. Currently (July 2025), we want to work with you to optimize the roof drainage for rainwater harvesting, dig in the garden, build a new staircase for the house, prepare firewood, collect herbs and dry them in a solar dryer, ... Depending on your interests and the season: harvesting in the garden, the woods and the yard, processing and storage of fruits, vegetables and herbs (for tee or medicine), work on building the farm estate, working with wood or textile, making fire, cooking, baking and gardening. The quality of life during my stay was very high, and I was able to spend a truly comfortable and peaceful time there. The interior and exterior of the house, the food, and everything I saw was beautiful and inspiring. Although my German is still not very good, they were always considerate — translating for me and checking if I understood things, which helped me a lot. We were able to communicate well, and they are trustworthy hosts with whom I felt completely at ease. Thank you so much, Anke and Tobias, for your kindness and care. It’s a place I would love to visit again!

Die Zeit mit Anke und Tobias war angenehm und lehrreich. Ich habe auf dem wunderschönen Hof viel über respektvollen Umgang und das Zusammenleben mit der Natur erfahren und ein paar tolle Menschen kennengelernt. Es war eine schöne erste Wwoof-Erfahrung und hat Lust auf mehr gemacht. :)

It was my first woofing experience, and I’m so glad I came here. This experience gave me very different perspectives. The hosts were extremely warm, hospitable, and sincere people. I’m very happy that I met them and that they hosted me, sharing their thoughts through pleasant conversations. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the food was amazing. Thanks to the meals they prepared, I had the chance to try many traditional dishes. Moreover, their thoughtful gesture of introducing each dish along with its ingredients was truly impressive. Despite it being winter, I had a wonderful 6-day experience. They offered us a task list and allowed us to choose the tasks we wanted to do, so we planned our days accordingly. Together with another woofer, we chopped wood, cleaned plants, and picked fruit from trees. All of these activities were really enjoyable. Throughout this experience, I felt like my soul was nourished, and it helped me grow in many ways. Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Anke and Tobias for everything.

I sent three weeks with Anke and Tobias; I valued their consideration and how easy going they were. I enjoyed learning and doing new things like picking, cutting, and then drying cucumbers, fermenting rasberry leafs, etc... I also enjoyed being and sharing with other people, hearing their stories and their personal view on life. Prior to traveling to Depekolk I had spent more then a month in Berlin so I really appreciated the change in scenery and pace. All over I really enjoyed my time there and I would definitely recommend staying with them in their beautiful home.

Anke und Tobias haben mich sehr angenehm in der Hofgemeinschaft empfangen. Der Umgang miteinander war sehr wertschätzend und rücksichtsvoll. Sie haben mir ihre umweltbewusste Lebensweise erläutert. Die anstehenden Arbeiten wurden jeden Morgen besprochen. Schön war auch das gemeinsame zubereiten und einnehmen der Mahlzeiten. Es waren schöne Tage auf dem Hof Erdenlicht die mich geerdet haben.

Wir haben sehr schöne und interessante 10 Tage bei Anke und Tobias verbracht. Dieser Hof war unsere erste Erfahrung mit Wwoof und sie hätte nicht besser sein können. Jeden Tag wurde morgens beim Frühstück besprochen, was am Tag zu erledigen sei. Alle Mahlzeiten wurden gemeinsam zubereitet und natürlich auch gemeinsam eingenommen. Wir haben Heu gemacht, in der Tischlerwerkstatt unterstützt und das viele Obst und Gemüse verarbeitet, Fenster gestrichen, Nebengebäude ausgeräumt und die Bienen untersucht. Danke an euch für die vielen Gespräche und Eindrücke in euer Leben auf dem schönen Hof. Lasst es euch gut gehen und hoffentlich auf ein Wiedersehen.
