LAGE: kleines idyllisches Dorf direkt an der Elbe am Rande des Biosphärenreservats" Mittelelbe", 30km südl. Magdeburgs BESCHREIBUNG: Unser Ziegenhof ist seit 1998 anerkannter Bio-Betrieb. Bei uns ist eine Herde der seltenen Harzziegen heimisch. Die Herde besteht aus 75 Mutterziegen, zwei Zuchtböcken und der dazugehörigen Nachzucht. Als Weide und Futterflächen stehen uns ca. 15 ha Eigentums- und Pachtflächen zur Verfügung. Soweit die Witterung es zulässt, gehen die Ziegen in den Sommermonaten ganztägig auf die Weide. Im Winter steht der Herde ein geräumiger luftiger Stall mit Klettermöglichkeiten und ständigem Auslauf zur Verfügung. Weiterhin leben noch einige Schweine mehrere Katzen auf unserem Hof. Die täglich 2x ermolkene Milch verarbeiten wir komplett und frisch zu Rohmilchkäsespezialitäten, die wir direkt vermarkten. ______________________________________ ENGLISH: LOCATION: small idyllic village next to the Elbe and at the brink of the biosphere reserve "Mittelelbe". 30km to Magdeburg DESCRIPTION: Our goatfarm is a recognized organic farm since 1998. The goats are of an old breed called "Harzziege" of 75 mother goats, two rams and offspring. 15 ha of our own property and of leasehold are available for the goats to graze and to make hay. As far as the weather allows the goats are on the meadow all day long in the summertime. In the winter they have a commodious aerial stable with climbing facilities and permanent access to open space. Our boardercollies Joy and Ben help us with our daily work. Apart from that some pigs are living with us at the farm, as well as several cats and chickens. We process the milk, that is milked twice a day, entirely, freshly and unpasteurized to cheese specialities, that we sell direct.
