Sehr empfehlenswerter Hof.

I came WWOOFing here with two friends. Learning about the grape harvest, how it works, and how to pick grapes was super interesting and life on the Brühler Hof compound was peaceful. We often ate fresh figs and tomatoes from the garden. While I was there WWOOFers stayed in an apartment separate from the family and shared lunch with the family, otherwise eating breakfast in the field and Abendbrot in their own space. The only difficulty for me was that sometimes how the day was going to go was not communicated clearly. A few times I found it a bit stressful. But with six WWOOFers during the busy harvest season I can see how it happened! The family was kind and generous and the landscape gorgeous with nearby walking trails. I had a really nice time!

Sebastian and his family are really kind and professional. The work is exactly as they describe it, and it’s a great way to exercise both the body and mind. It’s important to maintain clear communication to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding schedules and working hours. They can also be flexible depending on the situation. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it. Thanks, Sebastian and family, for hosting me!

My two weeks at the vineyard was a positive first WWOOF experience. The hard work does your body good, and the camaraderie you build is valuable. I felt very comfortable in the clean, well maintained home and kitchen. One meal a day (lunch) was shared among all - the family and helpers, and the rest was on your own, offered by the hosts. The work that I did included removing rose bushes from around the vines, removing the infrastructure of retired vines, washing glasses after a wine event, planting vegetables, and removing the extra buds from vines. It’s important work, and it was demonstrated well. The other helpers were very kind and I feel I made some real friends. The family, especially the children, are polite and supportive. It’s a 3 generational household, led by the grandparents who founded the vineyard. Recommended!
