LAGE:
Der Schümannhof liegt 40 km nördlich von Hamburg in einem kleinen Dorf umgeben von Wiesen und Knicks.
BESCHREIBUNG:
In einer Gemeinschaft von ca. 40 Menschen leben und arbeiten wir gemeinsam auf dem Schümannhof. Dazu gehören 3 Familien mit 6 Kindern, meistens 2-3 Auszubildende und Praktikanten und natürlich immer einige Wwoofer. Der Hof hat eine Größe von 80ha und wird seit über 40 Jahren biologisch bewirtschaftet. Viele Auszubildende und Studenten, auch aus dem Ausland, sind schon zu uns gekommen, und wir freuen uns über diese Bereicherung im Zusammenleben. Neben der landwirtschaftlichen und gärtnerischen Arbeit, gibt es noch eine Bäckerei und eine umfangreiche Vermarktung. Außerdem gibt es noch den Bereich der Sozialtherapie, d.h. 9 Menschen mit Unterstützungsbedarf haben hier ihren Lebens-und Arbeitsbereich gefunden. Bauernhofpädagogik für Kindergärten und Schulklassen ist uns auch ein großes Anliegen.
Du bist als WWOOF ´er bei uns in den Rhythmus des Hofes integriert, Beginn 8 Uhr / 12 Uhr lange Mittagspause , 16 Uhr Feierabend

LOCATION: The Schümannhof is located 40 kilometers north of Hamburg in small village sourrounded by meadows.
DESCRIPTION: In a community of 40 people, we live and work together at the Schümannhof. This includes 3 families with 6 children, mostly 2-3 apprentices and trainees, and of course always some Wwoofer. The farm has a size of 80ha and is managed biologically for over 40 years. Many trainees and students, also from abroad, have already come to us, and we are delighted about this enrichment in living together. Besides the agricultural and horticultural work, there is still a bakery and an extensive marketing. There is also the field of social therapy, 9 people with disabilities have found their living and working area here . Farming pedagogy for kindergartens and school classes is also a major concern for us.

Type of work: Kühe, Schweine und Hühner füttern, Eier einsammeln. Mithilfe bei der Jungpflanzenanzucht, beim Pflanzen, Pflegen und Ernten von Gemüse. Zäune ziehen, in der Werkstatt mithelfen oder etwas bauen gehören zu den Tätigkeiten. Auch in der Bäckerei und in der Küche (beim Kochen für die Gemeinschaft) ist Hilfe immer willkommen.
Feed the cows, pigs and chickens, collect eggs. Help with the planting of young plants, in the cultivation and harvesting of vegetables. Bulding Fences, help in the workshop or build something All that belongs to the activities. Also in the bakery and in the kitchen ( cooking for the community) help is always welcome.
